Valmet to Deliver Seventh Tissue Production Line to Papel San Francisco in Mexico

Valmet will supply an Advantage DCT 100TS tissue production line to Papel San Francisco in Mexico. The new TM 10 machine will be installed at the company’s mill in Mexicali and the start-up is planned for the second quarter 2025.

Valmet’s scope of delivery will comprise an Advantage DCT 100TS tissue machine. The machine will be equipped with an OptiFlo headbox and cast alloy Yankee cylinder. The machine will also feature Valmet’s Advantage tissue technology including a ViscoNip press, an AirCap hood and the WetDust dust system.

Start-up and commissioning are included in the delivery.

President and CEO Pasi Laine to resign from Valmet during 2024

Valmet’s Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Valmet’s President and CEO Pasi Laine and related terms and conditions. Pasi Laine will continue as the President and CEO of Valmet until the end of September 2024. The Board of Directors has initiated the search for a successor.

Now, after being the CEO of Valmet for about ten years and a Valmeteer for 33 years, it is time for my future successor to continue the work with our renewed Executive Team. I will naturally continue to fully focus on our work to consistently improve Valmet’s financial performance towards the set targets and serve our customers,” says Pasi Laine, President and CEO, Valmet.

Valmet has on July 7, 2023, entered into an agreement to acquire Körber Group’s Business Area Tissue. The Business Area Tissue specializes in innovative converting and packaging technologies and services for the tissue industry.

By combining the complementary offering and competencies of Valmet and the acquired business, Valmet creates the market’s widest technology, automation and services offering for the growing tissue industry covering the entire tissue value chain. Growth in tissue demand is driven by several favourable trends such as increased hygiene awareness and standards of living.
