The Swedish textile-to-textile recycling innovator Renewcell has signed a Letter of Intent with China Textile Academy Green Fibre Co. Ltd., an innovative Chinese lyocell fiber producer, concerning a long-term commercial collaboration around man-made cellulosic fiber production. The agreement affirms the two companies’ intent to work together to supply lyocell textile fibers made using Circulose®, the 100% recycled textile pulp made by Renewcell, to global fashion brands in the coming years. The agreement has been facilitated by Ekman Group, Renewcell’s exclusive global trading partner.

As part of its planned investment plan in France, Lucart, Europe’s leader in the recycling of paper and beverage cartons for the production of eco-responsible products for sanitary use, announces the acquisition of a logistics hub in the Hellieule business park in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. The logistics hub will be fully operational during the first quarter of 2024 and improve the storage and shipping capabilities of products manufactured by Lucart at the Laval-sur-Vologne plant. The new site will bolster its presence in the Vosges region where the company’s fast-growing production activity is based.

A fire has damaged Renewcell’s textile recycling facility Renewcell 1 in Sundsvall, Sweden.
The fire started shortly before 14.00 on Wednesday and was extinguished shortly after the emergency services arrived at the site. All employees are safe and nobody was injured, Renewcell says.
The fire was contained within the shredding area of the plant and caused damage to one of the three shredder units and one filter unit, both of which will be repaired.

By 2025, the share of Ilim Group’s board supplies to the southwest of the People’s Republic of China will have increased three-fold from 5% to 16%, which is another 100 thousand tons of the finished products.
Stepped-up deliveries will make the Company a key player on the pulp and paper market in the south-western China. The supply volumes will be boosted partly owing to the products from Ilim Group’s new pulp and paper mill (the KLB Mill) in Ust-Ilimsk. The production capacity will amount to 600,000 tons of KLB per year, and today Ilim keeps on implementing its go-to-market strategy.

Benefiting from a favourable evolution of pulp prices, total revenues reached € ۱,۰۶۶.۲ M in 2022, a 34.4% increase vs 2021.
