With the modernisation of the board machine 1 (BM1), the annual production capacity of folding boxboard (FBB) will be increased by 200,000 tons to reach 600,000 tons. This will make the Husum BM1 the largest, and most modern, paperboard machine in Europe and further strengthen Mets\u00e4 Board\u2019s position as the leading European supplier of folding boxboards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">The expansion of folding boxboard capacity is in response to the growing demand for packaging materials made of renewable resources.
